But in terms of his performance, I wouldn't call it "great". It was well-rehearsed, a pretty good song for him, and sufficient to get him through to the next round. Some performances were better than his, some were not.
It was the kind of performance that was "Alright, dog" from Randy's perspective, "Blew me away" from Paula's (although that's what she says 4 out of 5 times anyway), and if Simon says he totally sold the song, I believe him (as I usually do).

i AGREE WITH HIS LOOKS! However, he kept saying MEEEEEEshell .... didn't quite do it. I agree w/Simon ... on the radio it would not cut it. Love his "Vinnie Barbarino" (John Travolta from Welcome Back Kotter) look.
I love Jason Castro, but I have to admit that Michelle wasn't his best performance. However, he did ennuciate the French in the song very well, though!
he was ok this week but i loved when he sang hallelujah
It was ok. The song is supposed to be a ballad and there was something a bit off with him singing it so fast and upbeat.
I didn't care for it actually...I thought he was a bit too awkward and sort of lost it for me. He acted as though he was lost too by the way he performed it. It just didn't really convince me that he really enjoyed singing it.

Yeah it wasn't his best performance but I must say he does French soooo good. I'm French and I don't even know how to speak like that lol.
