it is actually many things. There is a light novel which consists of 18 volumes and a manga with 4 volumes. there are 24 episodes in the first and second series/season(idk).The first season is called "Shakugan no Shana" and second season called " Shakugan no Shana 2" .and there are also somes games that are on the ps2 and nintendo ds. there is and OVA called "Shakugan no Shana Tokubetsuhen: Koi to Onsen no Kōgai Gakushū!" which has one episode and the duration is 30 min. you can probably watch it on "youtube.com" but i usually go to "http://www.veoh.com/" to watch anime.
