What is this thing about Kelly Rippa and Clay Aiken?!

Question: Ok so recently I have seen a 2 video on Youtube:

One when Clay was hosting with Kelly and he put his hand over her mouth.

The other is Kelly Rippa calling Rosie'O Donnell on The View and talking to her about Clay Aiken.

What is the deal like can somebody give me the full details? Also why did Kelly call Rosie on The View. What did Rosie have anything to do with it? Thanks.

Kelly was being her usual annoying self, talking non stop, so Clay jokingly out his hand over her mouth as if to hush her. Kelly did not like being hushed so pulled back and said "I don't know where that hand has been". Some viewers took it as an anti gay remark because Clay is probably gay. Kelly called into The View to state her opinion on the outcry because the View hosts were discussing the story and Kelly was watching the live show. Rosie said took the remark as antigay - Rosie will do anything for attention. Kelly said that the remark was not anti-gay but that since it was cold and flu season and she has kids she is worried about germs.
I don't see Kelly as germ phobic though when she kisses guests hello and shakes hands. I think Kelly was put off about being hushed and overreacted, if you watch Clay at that moment he was obviously joking but she wasn't looking at him because she was too busy babbling. I think Kelly just didn't want to admit that she was wrong to overreact.

I only remember when Clay was on the Regis and Kelly show, and she was talking and talking and talking, he put his had over her mouth and she got all offended and said "I don't know where that hand has been" and then tried to laugh it off-then after that other shows showed her putting her hand over other peoples mouths, like she had a double standard-she could do it to others but they couldnt do it to her

Kelly is a germ a phob and it was flu season when Clay put his hand on her mouth and Kelly said that she didn't know where his hands had been and so then everyone thought that Kelly was homophobic and against gay people. So Rosie wanted to see what was going on and that was basically it. So, you can believe either she was worried about the germs or she really was making a anti-gay remark.

Somebody needs to put something over Kelly Rippa's mouth. I am not really a Clay Aiken fan but I applaud him for shutting her up.

Clay was wrong to put his hand over Kelly's mouth (he was her guest host) and he sent her a note to apologize. He admitted he was wrong.
Rosie said on The View that Kelly was implying Clay was gay saying you don''t know where that hand has been. And rightly so. Rosie was wrong because Clay never admitted to being gay. So it was like Rosie brought it out in the open.
Kelly is NOT a germaphobic else she wouldn't shake hands with ANYBODY.

It's simple, really: Kelly and Rosie are good friends with one another; and they each take turns sharing Clay as their favorite "appetizer".
