TV shows from the 90's???!

Question: me and a friend were talking about our favorite tv shows when we were younger. just reminiscing and stuff. and there are two shows we CAN NOT think of their names..

FIRST:: it was a kids show. about in the early-mid 90's. and it was all kids and it was kind of like a news broadcast. like they sat at a desk and there were cameras..BUT....it was like music videos to kid songs. all that really stands out is the flying purple people eater song and some other childrens songs. thats really all i remember...i was really young

AND....a show that took place in space on a space ship. and one of the characters was a girl with rainbow hair. thats all we remembered...

if you have any idea the name of these two shows then let me know. everyone we've asked has no idea.
and its driving me crazy!!

haha ok thank you!!

The only thing I can think of for the second show is Space Cases which was on Nick in the early 90's.

Could the first show be Kidsongs? You should be able to find it at retrojunk.

yes, the first is Kidsongs, it aired on PBS in the 90's.. the show was about kids, by kids and presented by kids.. the news anchors of the show were Alexandra Palm and Christian Buenaventura, they introduced kid song videos and there was a small blue teddy bear like creature named Billy Biggle..

cant help you on the second one..

The two before me nailed it...
1: "KidSongs" (Warner Bros. Records/Together Again Productions/WTTW Chicago)*

2: "Space Cases" (Nickelodeon/YTV)

*...and the song is "Purple People Eater", originally recorded by character actor Sheb Wooley in 1958. BTW: some of the episodes are on DVD.
