I was thinkin' the same thing. I really love their relationship though.
Sister, they have already said she was 16 and he 6 or 7 when she was sent away.
Claudia was 16 when Johnny was 7 so there's no way she's his mother. I love their relationship though. When it comes to other people Johnny and Claudia can both be cruel and unfeeling but they're comepletely different with one another. They have the kind of relationship with each other that some just dream of having with their siblings.
Claudia was being a big sister. When you had to grow up in a nut house where you father is not in his right mind to take care of your two children. If one was a boy and another was a girl. And if you where brother and sister and you didn't have anyone to rely on. Except each other- you would think it was maternal. There is a lot of situations where a parent has two children and one parent is not their for the two kids. The oldest child is always the one to take care of their brothers or sister. In this case it was Claudia trying to take care of her little brother. All they had was each other and they depended on each other for their sanity. Look who their father was and look what kind of house hold they had to grow up in. Your father kills your mother and you watch it happen. Then your father's lawyer tries to cover it up and then he tried to take over the family business. He tries to keep your father underneath his thumb. So - he can keep running the family business
Yeah I know they are brother and sister cause the whole age thing. But I was thinkin how they were a little to close today. She was talkin to him at times like he was her little boy...but then sometimes it seemed like they were a couple they way they act. I mean I know it is neither one but still I just think it was a little to weird and something is goin on.

Claudia's nowhere near old enough to be Johnny's mother. Sometimes big sisters get that momma-bear vibe around their younger siblings, that's all.
EWW! I think it was definitely more proud big sister. Any sister would be proud of a brother sticking up for them, and besides, she probably likes that he was acting more like her for a change instead of letting things just roll off him and acting like he doesn't care. Plus, I think a lot of it was Johnny getting back at Sonny for holding him captive for no reason.
It was proud big sister; it seemed a little maternal cuz of the great age gap. Claudia is not Johnny's mother but she will always see him as baby brother.

Well, speaking as a big sister, sometimes I feel a little maternal towards my kid brother. I've spent my life looking out for him (as much as we annoy each other sometimes) and helping my mom take care of him. I think being a big sister kind of entails feeling a bit motherly towards your younger sibling. I've noticed the same thing between my niece and her kid sister. So, I would say it was probably a little of both. Not that I think Claudia is Johnny's mom or anything. Just that I think, as a big sister, you would probably have maternal feelings for a younger sibling that you've helped take care of.
Personally, I think she was just happy b/c he stood up for her. She has very few people in her life that she cares about, who honestly care about her. I think she was just happy that they were working together as a team, and that someone she cared about was standing by her. That would make me happy too.
