typically they do. they are all different. some get paid to be like the last 3 people standing. so if some people are kicked off in the process they wont be paid. its usually the last bunch of people and the last person winning with the most amount of money.
in fact, Im pretty sure one of the girls on Flavor of Love the other day said how she was only in it for the money.
I think some of the people on these shows are definitely actors and probably do get paid to act like complete idiots on the show. some people will do anything for a chunk of cash.

Of course, that's the main reason they do it...for the money and for the exposure. Even if it just leads to 15 min. of fame, that's still more than a lot of people make.

Yes. I think for the Big Brother houseguests they started paying them about $700 a week. But I don't know about the other ones. I guess they keep it a secret under contract.
