Yes. It was called Mr. Wroe's Virgins and was set in the 19th century, the story focused on the cult of John Wroe, a messianic Christian Israelite prophet, to whom the townsfolk deliver seven virgins to serve his household. Despite all that, it didn't get many viewers.
