I ask a question about religion and it receives 12 answers?!

Question: Yet somebody asks who lives lives in a pineapple under the see and it gets 3 pages and counting. Does this sum up the intelligence of the average YA user?

well, you got more answers than my question about constipation - so rejoice

Depends on what the religion question was, but your Q/A's are private so I cant find the quesiton.

And yes, it does.

Plus Spongebob rules

Or the intrest in religion of many YA users!!!!!!!

It just proves that when someone knows the answer they are not afraid to answer.....It has been proven....

Yes it does. Also the questions that normally get the most amount of stars... They aren't interesting. Surely that's the point of stars?
Unfortunately this site has become more of a blog site for teens than an actual question/answer forum.

It was a fun question that involved no thinking - not all people want to answer questions about religion or are even interested in religion

No, it just means that people are bored to tears with religious discussions that go absolutely nowhere.

true but most of those 3 pages are filled with ridiculous answers. plus a lot of times your question is only there for a couple of minutes before it's been moved off the first page.

what do you mean patrick

No it shows that people realise that religion is a personal thing whereas Spongebob Squarepants (seeing all the Rangers fans trying to play the whistle on their noses is classic), is universal.

Mensa rated IQ

But enough common sense not to apply, I mean when am I going to get the numbers job on countdown?

in the old days we used to say don't talk about religion politics money or sex..goes for this site as well.have you looked at skin and beauty? its humming!

No - it sums up the good humour of the average YA user
Plus the R and S section is a battleground of nastiness due mostly to the atheists who inhabit it and feel they must interject even though being atheists they generally know nothing about religion and spirituality.. It is not a haven of peace and positivity so no one really goes there.

Depends, do you ask a Q to get a straight answer, do you want people to agree with what you say or do you just want a bit of light relief? there's room for all.

Have you ever considered the possibility that all religion is mythology, just like the pineapple under the sea? Maybe more people, see more relevance to them, in one, rather than the other.

okaay you sound like a seriously BORING person!!
spongebob rules!!!!!

maybe theres more kids on yahoo answers then religious people. Or maybe more people are interested in spongebob then religion?

It has absolutely nothing to do with the intelligence of the average YA user, Mr. Sourgrapes.

Ammo's answer answers your question perfectly. 'It involved no thinking'. Therefore yes it sums them all up.

I try not to discuss religion since everyone has his own religious opinions. If I wanted to answer questions about religion, I wouldn't be in this category. If you are too good for this group why don't you see if Mensa will accept your application.
