Do you watch Maury Povich on TV?!
Question: If you do, what do you think of all these episodes on DNA testing for unwed parents? I personally don't enjoy those episodes because I feel it's only teaching our youths in this country that it's okay to have premarital sex, but to be careful not to let this happen to you. I think we should educate our children to wait and save themselves for their soulmates, and they won't need to be concerned who the father of their child is. I mean, it's not fair to the baby. What about your viewpoint on these particular episodes of his?

I stopped viewing his shoe and others like that many years ago. One day they do a show where they test to see how the daddy is to some unwed lady, OFten they brag and have like 8 or 9 differnt men tested, and its all just so about them and how sweet it is, poor babies.
But then the next day, they have one on talking about how bad teenage pregnancies are, and almost sold the ones that end up pregenant Talk about being double minded.
WE cant execuse all they do and gloirfy it, like its all ok and then scold them for messing up later.
Yes, these ppl need love from God and forgivness. Absolutely, but lets stop treating htem like it is almost an honor and of celebrtiy status to be unwed, pregnant, obnoxious , and on drugs and alcohol. Those kids get up there and so disprect all authoriyt, not just the host or hostess.
It is the moral and spiritual decay of America, and I dont find it fun to watch either. Tho I do pray for ppl, for all ppl, and know that God can give everything a new start, and all they need to move in to a wonderful life, if they will do it His way.
But few wil hear of that, and dont want to be accountible to God.
We took authority from the teachers, and then the parents, took prayer out of schools, tho evil stuff is still allowed, and then they teach every kind of nonsense one can think of, nor not even think of tilll they ehar of it, and this is the end results of a nation that has turned their back on God.
God is calling us back, to holiness , purity and obedience. All are called, ony a few will answer the call to LOVE AND OBEY>
When we watch this horror kind of stuff it pollutes our mind, we should be thinking on only the pure and Holy Things of God.
WE even quit watching the news becasue of it all.
watching the news ppl crack up laughing and joking after they just did a stint about rape, coe on folks. Where are the taboos? Very few have any anymore. All is ok to joke at and laugh at, to watch, hear, whatever.
But Unless God will comfotably sit with you and watch what you watch, and laugh at what you laugh at, then maybe it is time to do a all over check with God and get a tune up to see when did you leave your first love?
All we can do is pray and leave them to God and speak when we can the truths of God.
You are right, they condone premaritial sex, and then days later are even shown on another show almost condemning a certain girl, like how could you be with this many men? * different men.. But the day before doing a show with a young girl that has had seven men tested to see who is babies daddy. and its all so cutesy done.
WE can love those girls, but we should be telling them of a better way . Yes we can try and help them, but never think it is ok, and that if htey sleep around, they best be prepared for diseases, unwanted pregnancies, ruined reputations, all of it, beside what will go on between them and God. He weeps for them all.
NOne of it is fair to the unforn baby, to the mother of the baby, or to the supposed daddy. As God expects more from them than this and we should do it too.
They wont know if someone doesnt tell them. OFten the parents wont, and the schools sure wont, dont want to stiffle their creativity, oh yes, that one is used a lot. Just be what you want to be. THey will even question parentsl authroity, many of us have watched this with our children in schools.
All of it glorifes this dung, and its not of God.
I get me a good preachin tape and enjoy.
The big giant that is ruining families and inidivudal lives, is rarely on at our place, unless it is a sermon from somene we know preaches truth.

i thought all he did was DNA test episodes, oh yeah and the bootcamp for the bad kids. I like when they have the girl who keeps coming back like 7 or 8 times, like every time when she goes home she sees some dude on the street and remembers that about 9 months ago, she had sex with him too so he needs to be tested
No, I don't watch the show, I tried but could not understand what was going on because of all the Bleeping. It should be call the Maury Bleeping Show, or maybe the Bleeping Maury Show
I'm sorry to say that I do watch it and the DNA / Lie Detector episodes are the ones I particularly enjoy the most. The Americans just go so OTT with everything and I guess I just love the drama.
Normally I don't ever have a chance to watch it because it's on during the day when I'm at work. It's over the top ridiculous and all in good fun. I don't think Maury Povich has a responsibility to teach kids anything, he's a daytime talk show host. He's merely doing his job and giving the people what they want, one train wreck after another. If you are concerned with what kids are watching you may want to get rid of your cable.
I do not like those shows b/c its a problem that will honestly never come to an end. I do not understand how those woman can not calculate simple math to determine who the father is and why would you degrade yourself so much on National Televsion by telling everyone that you will sleep with anyone and are not smart enough to use protection! The only ones who will ever truly suffer are those innocent children who were not ask to be here but are here now because of irresponsible individuals
I just can't imagine a woman gong on there naming upwards of 10 men and still not have the correct man. Doesn't anyone have any morals any more? But apparantly thisis what the American public is looking for because he seems to do a lot of these....my advise..do not let your own children watch the shows.
He use to have a good show but anymore its the same day after day. Its gone way down hill as far as I'm concerned.
I watched once but it was stupid...the people were stupid...and Maury was stupid....all the way to the bank.
I do watch the show because i'm interested
in DNA testing.I don't think it's teaching the
children in the USA immorality - if anything if they've been taught properly and are conscienscous beings anyway it'll make them run for the hills! They would know that a promiscuous lifestyle reaps this type of results.
Another thing here is that not all the people on Maury are this way, but people who have simply made mistakes.
Have you ever thought that women and men who sleep around may have grown up without proper mother, father figures or been abused, so do this for approval?
Most of these babies are very much wanted and many of these women have issues with the paternity of the baby, not the baby itself.
If free DNA testing helps some child to know for sure, who their father is, so be it.
Maury comforts these women and is not ashamed of doing so.
The bootcamp for teenagers also is a brilliant idea.If the show can turn their life around, this can only be a positive thing.
As a woman of faith, i don't watch, violence,porn, psychics,or horror, but I don't mind watching Maury from time to time,here in the UK. Real people, real lives.
If you want to talk about hosts ridiculing people, that would have to be the Jerry Springer show!!- trash.
