TV does anyone remember Sergeant Bilco with Phil silvers?!

Question: I liked the show a lot. Your question brings back memories because that was one of my Dad's favorite shows and I remember watching it with him. Dad got a kick out of how he was always trying to make a buck and not always in an honest way.

Yes, one of the worst programmes on tv....couldn't stand it! (Typical American humour)

I used to like that programme he was really funny always getting into trouble.

Yes I enjoyed it.

yep...im never gonna play him at poker thats for sure.wouldnt trust him to play a straight game :)

yes i did enjoy watching it. funny guy

Yes but only from repeats not from the first time round.

I used to love it. They even based Top Cat on that show.

yes he was always thinking how to make money funny

yeh sunday afternoons with my dad

Yes, with fond memories.

I remember it but the humour was not to my liking I prefered Desi Arnez And Lucille Ball...she was just a good comedy actress.

The Phil Silvers Show (Bilko) is one of my favourite shows of all time. I have umpteen episodes videoed - some are absolute classics - and much prefer it to just about any of the abysmal so-called comedy shows of today.

Yes

Yes that is an old comedy show and no mistake

are you kidding? - it's an absolute classic - phil silvers was brilliant as were the rest of the cast

yeah the scripts were adapted and re-used for "Top Cat" in the seventies with the same voices. loved 'em both

Yes and you can still buy the DVD's on ebay.

Just about. Didn't really get the humour, but he was a sweet guy.

One of my favourites and of many others, those were the days of just three channels, and they shut down for the night.

yes, unfortunately i am old enough to remember it. Do you remember Top cat, sort of similar.

Phil Silvers was Sgt. Bilco and yes I remember.

Yes i remember Phil Silvers in Bilco was positively force fed it as it was one of my Dads favourites and my Dad was the one that definitely had the controls ( they didnt have remotes then )LOL

Wasn't that McHale's Navy he played Sgt. Bilco & Tim Conway was on it too??

yes some nice clips.

Yes, esepecially the ones where they spelled it "Bilko"

NO NOT REALLY''

it was good in its day but way behind the times now

yes i quite do.
