That would be so fantastic. How heartbreaking was the end of series 2 when they were separated? Of course it will probably take forever to get here to us in the US.

rose is the best and im sooooo glad shes comming back. it was so sad at the end of series 2 when she left.:( but oh well shes comming back and thats what counts.

I think it was quite obvious they would appear together as soon as it was announced the Billie Piper would be coming back to the series. All the talk of Tennant and Piper not filming together was just typical press speculation based on a couple of throw away comments by Tennant.
I have to say I was considerably more excited when I first heard about the reunion between the Doctor and Sarah Jane (arguably his best ever companion) in "School Reunion". Great as it was to see Sarah Jane and K9 meeting up with the Doctor again, however, I was ultimately a little disappointed. It all seemed a bit too rushed and the reunion of the characters actually seemed to detract from the Krillitane story.
That's the reason I'm not so excited about Rose's return really. I worry that the final episodes of the next series might turn out to be similarly rushed and not very satisfying in terms of the story. In Doctor Who, a good well written story is worth much more than the return of previous characters in my book. I do hope that the reunions with Rose and other returning characters are integrated better so that the story doesn't suffer this time.
