Why is Oliver not being chosen by the public, is this BBC PC madness or a good t!

Possibly because Oliver is a child, and I don't think it would be a good idea to have a poll to chose a child, mostly simply because there would be no point. The public would not choose the best child, just the "cutest".
No it's a good thing - the Nancy's are subject to voting by the public but it's better not to have the children selected that way.
All of the Mothers would vote for the cutest one not the best fitted to the part - well I would anyhow!
their not allowed elric , the only voting will be for nancy , its to do with them being children , not sure if its the law or if they are too young to be able to handle the rejection

It's not allowed, the kids may not be able to take rejection. Goodness knows how they'll ever cope in the real world.

I bet a lot of these children have pushy parents too so to subject them to the public vote would be really harsh and as someone else said you can't have a load of bawling kids on stage.

It is a good thing, as some1 said the winner would b the cutest child not the 1 who would b best for the role.
Can't see what difference it makes, whether they're rejected by the public, or ALW - after all, it's still saying they are not good enough!!!!!
I think its because 3 Olivers are being chosen as a child couldn't do that many shows.
I think it is because they are children Elric to put them through the weekly vote would be heartbreaking to do in front of camera full public view think it would be to harsh for them and may damage them in some way.
