GH fans, please explain to me again why who hit Sam is such a big deal??!
Question: Sam was chased into the road where she collapsed. I know leaving the scene of an accident is a crime but none of those involved actually knew there was an "accident". There knew they hit "something" but saw nothing and it was storming. It could have been debris! I find it hard to believe an actual court case could be made of this!! There are so many more interesting storylines, why waste time on this??

It's not that big of a deal. It's not like she was killed, she's alive and well, why not leave it at that?
its just another soap line by the replacement writers. in reality a hit and run is a very big deal, regardless of whether the suspects remember or not..for all we know at this point though none of those 3 hit her, it was someone else. you know how soaps get!
They like to make us wonder.
I know I see it as an accident and whoever did it didn;t do it on purpose or know they did it. I don't think it will be Monica or Liz though I think it is Daniel he has been suspiciously absent lately!
Well, in classic soap opera fashion, almost anything can be made into a "big deal'. Basically, it's this: A case of bad timing, stupidity, and panic. However, Liz recently acknowledged to Lucky in an aired episode that she believes that Sam will use Liz's involvement in her hit-and-run accident as ammunition against her in order to take Jake away from his mother for good. In all honesty, it probably was Carly that hit Sam, not Monica or Liz, and there is still a slim possiblity of an unknown third party at the wheel that night and responsible. Monica is afraid that she is the responsible party and will lose her medical career, definitely no "smal deal", if it is disclosed that she was driving while intoxicated (drinking while driving in fact) and in all likelihood and as far as she knows did in fact strike Sam and then left the scene of the accident. In my opinion, there will be resolution soon and probably some compromise with Sam as part of things. This storyline however will have to be placed on the backburner for now of course in view of the recent explosion on the show.
Its just another attempt by the writers to convince us that they know what they are doing. It doesn't help that Alexis told Sam that she would make sure whoever hit her spent the rest of their lives behind bars. REALLY? I'm not a lawyer but I doubt leaving the scene of a hit and run that you didn't know you commited woud get you 30 years to life. Maybe 6 months and thats just if the prosecuting attorney was an idiot. Which I am beginning to suspect is what the GH writers think we are.
OH MY GOD!!!! THANK YOU, SHE WAS CHASED BY A KILLER, LET ME REPEAT A KILLER!!! WHO CARES WHO HIT HER. SHE RAN INTO THE ROAD, I MEAN I KNOW IT'S NOT HER FAULT BUT IT'S ALSO NOT THE FAULT OF THE PERSON WHO HIT HER. IT'S STUPID, IT'S NOT THAT SERIOUS, IT WAS A MISTAKE. LET'S FOCUS ON THE KILLER. I AGREE WITH YOU 100%.
"usually" if you ram your car into a human being and it causes enough injury for that person to be hospitalized and have surgery, it is considered a crime. Especially, if you left the scene without reporting it or staying with the victim. It doesn't matter if you know you hit someone or not, you still broke the law. Now on GH, there are many lawbreakers that slip by the judicial system.....but in this case of someone hitting Sam....she now has NO job, has had surgery and meanwhile whomever injured her, they still walk free without any charges. They may decide to drop it and let it go, but I believe there will a finality to the hit and run...as it will play into your other "interesting" storylines....... as it should.
i know what you mean but i would like to know kind of what if it was some one else and not every one that thinks they did it.
i guess it would be because they want to find the jerk that hit her and i know it was Crazy Monica.
