because as a american i revel in someone else's agony all anyone wants is to see people fail and then have a good cry watching home makeover
Because of the entertainment people get from it.
No one cares about other peoples drama they are just looking for a good laugh. By the way some stuff is all staged even though a camera crew fowlles them around.
