I love it! I regret not having watched it when it initially aired, and I feel for the show because I heard it was mishandled in much the same way the network mishandled Arrested Development. Fox should be smart enough to know that shuffling the episodes out of narrative will screw a show, much like changing the time slot three times in three seasons and airing the series finale against the opening ceremonies of the winter Olympics.
Anyway, yeah the show was excellent and the characters were all great! I really wish that everything could have been explored more fully like the whole thing with the Reavers, and everything that happened to River. Hopefully Joss Whedon and Tim Minnear consider doing another movie or three for the series!
I also really really liked the setting of the show, which was the perfect mix of early-human space exploration, American western, and Chinese cultural elements. And, the theme song that opened each show was great, and it one of my favourite themes.
Well, I know this might not help, but I haven't heard of it I don't think :(

I Love Firefly...My husband and I own some of the dvd series, as well as Serenity. There has been rumors of the show making a come back, but nothing so far, I think they may be just that, rumors...so sad! Great cast, fantastic characters and I love the Chinese references involved. Fantastic series and of course Mal is gorgeous! However, I must admit Jayne is my favorite..lol..Adam Baldwin and his filthy mind and mouth!...adorable.
loved it. i didnt actually watch it when it was on the air and just got around to seeing the movie and the whole series last year but it was a damn good show with some big damn heroes
