Because of the recent 2007–2008 Writers Guild of America strike, Cane completed its first season on December 18, 2007. Though the show has not been officially cancelled, it is currently unknown whether or not CBS plans to order any additional episodes
Yes, very low ratings meant it was not viable and it was taken off the air :o)
