Well, considering she had just finished reading the draft of Lucas' first book, I'd say that the second book is much like the first in that it proclaims Lucas' love for Peyton again, although perhaps not as obviously as the first. I've heard from reliable spoiler sites that they actually don't get married (thank god), something to do with a boy and a comet (and Peyton's car is a Comet). Anyways, that's just what i reckon, that Haley realised that Lucas was still in love with Peyton and always would be (duh).
my guess is that she realized that Peyton will always be in Lucas heart and that it wouldn't be right for Lindsay
