There was an episode where Alan thought he might be gay b/c he was having fun hanging out with his gay friend and all of his relationships with women had failed. Then he tried kissing his friend and the guy assured him that he was not gay, namely b/c he is not sexually attracted to men. At the end of the episode, he still said he was b/c people (like his mother and ex-wife) were nicer to him when he said he was gay. Both the characters of Alan and Charlie are straight.
Do you mean "Does Jon Cryer's character Allen come out on the show?" I don't know. My husband and I have that same conversation all the time. I think if Allen did come out, the show wouldn't be as funny.

No.I watch that show and there is an epidsode where charlie and allen go to a gay guys party and act as a gay couple. ONLY because charlie wants the gay guy to choose him to write a jingle for him.They make kind of a joke of it throughout that episode,but allen is very straight.
