On Lost, what makes people think Sayid is Ben's man on the boat?!

Question: I don't understand this theory. Sayid has been on the island with everyone else this enitre time including when the so called rescuers started to show up and he was locked in the room with Desmond when someone opened it from the outside. Minkowski said they must have a "friend" on the boat so whoever that friend is may or not be Ben's guy but how in the world could it be Sayid? Has he been swimming to the boat everyday while people haven't been looking? Or perhaps rowing in that canoe? Someone please explain this theory to me.

idk either, but SOMETHING is up with Sayid because his reaction to the death of Naomi and then whatever he found on her body was very strange. I keep that in mind, there is definetly something significant involving him, I just don't know what

I can't because I don't understand it either. To me that makes no sense.

It can't be Sayid. I've seen a lot of theories that it might be Michael, but that makes no sense to me either.

I think it's because in the flash forward off the island, Sayid kills the blonde woman and gets shot himself. Ben is seen mending his wounds and it is revealed that Sayid is working for Ben. People are just assuming that since Sayid is working for Ben in the future, he may have started working for him on the boat.

My guess is that it's Michael, Walt's dad, who is working for Ben.

Well, as you know time travel has become a major player on the show. People are thinking Sayid is going back in time and onto the boat from the future. Maybe that's why the "Freighter" people are mad that They were brought back on the chopper? Imagine if Sayid ran into "Sayid"??!! How cool would that be! It would totally freak him out! It's kind of like in the "Orchid" video when the cloned bunnies were coming into the room where Marvin Candle was....He said it would be "dangerous" if the bunnies saw one anoither!! WAIT!!!! Maybe the bunnies werent CLONED......Maybe they were FROM THE PAST OR FUTURE!!! OUCH! my brain hurts....which is why I LOVE this show!!!!

ya that theory is totally wrong
michael is bens guy on the boat there is screenshot going around of michael with des and sayid on the boat entitled "meet kevin johnson" (meaning michael's alias on the boat)
i think the theory came a couple episodes back when sayid is working for ben in the future

I have a feeling its Michael or Walt because Sayid just got to the ship and when he was there he was with Desmond the whole time. It just doesn't make sense that Sayid would be the spy.

it could be someone ben have placed within the widmore for you have to remeber that Ben suppose to have a lot more conncetions to the outside world then what we have seen. As the guy on the boat suppose to MIcheal

I also think it's Michael for the simple fact that Harrold Perrineau's name is back in the credits. He was returning this season and that makes the most sense. Ben let him get Walt off the island. He probably felt he owed Ben for that and/or (possibly) feeling he had to return somehow to help the other survivors off the island. Makes much more sense than Sayid.

Call it gut feeling, a hunch, or just not using logic. But I'm probably the only person out there who believes Sayid's the man. Obviously when we discovered that Sayid works for Ben in the future that first got me thinking, but you have to also realize sometimes the obvious is not always the right answer especially when it comes to LOST. No doubt Micheal will be on the boat. But will he be the "man"? I'll stick with my guy until I'm proven otherwise and I'll also be the first to admit I'm wrong if it is so. I guess I'll just watch and see!
