Should David A have been in the bottom three last night on American Idol?!

Question: Well, he is a great singer, but forgetting the words is real bad. I though for sure Simon would be like "Unacceptable.....do u think people will want to pay money to come here u sing just so you can forget the words??" But it was just kinda glossed over!!! So I guess he should have been in the bottom 3 based on his performance that night, however, he already has established his fan base-so he's forgiven!! I feel it was good for him though cuz I feel he was starting to think he was untouchable.....very humbling for him..... =)

Yep. But that strippergate had to be handled. byebye

Yeah, it's unforgivable to forget your lines at this stage in the game. But I knew it wasn't going to happen. He consistently gets the most votes (no clue why)

he could have. just because he forgot the lyrics people probably felt sorry for him so they voted for him. also because people are voting for him because he is cute. he is cute, but I think he has a better voice.

Apparently not because he didn't get the least amount of votes or the second least OR the third least. It is, in case you forgot, chosen by viewers calls and he must have gotten a lot of them again. I really thought Kristy Lee was going home but I like her a lot so I am glad she gets another chance.

no, --not yet at least--- even though he slipped up on the lyrics this week- his past few performances were very strong and he still has an amazing voice. he has a huge fan base and many people still believe that he has a good shot at winning this.

however, if he messes up 1 more time, america will be less forgiving.

That's where the public voting for him comes in. David H was better than David A.

The soulful kid from Utah has inept assistance from the musical production staff - - if he will mess up like this again without some sort of teleprompter or earpiece, the show hasn't learned a thing since Clay Aiken had such a problem with the Don Mclean class "Vincent" song a few years ago in a Judges' Challenge sing-off from six or so years ago. If the Star Search junior winner is getting a majority of the 29 million votes (teenage girls have their text messaging down), he should make it to the Final Two against Michael or Carly.
When will the mentors get started? Apparently not during Performances Week of March 18. . .

Not only should he have been in the bottom three, he should have been voted off of the show. I wish people would wise up and vote for talent and marketability instead of perceived "cuteness."

I hope he learned a lesson from that fiasco. Stevie Wonder is boring. It is unfortunate that he couldn't sing the Beatles' version of a Beatles' song. I can understand nerves and messing up the words, but that version of that song is a disgrace.

At any rate, he has a huge fan base, so he isn't going to be in the bottom 3 anytime soon.

I think he should have been in the bottom 3, based on his performance this week. But, as long as the show leaves it totally up to the viewers, contestants like him will continue to stay in the competition. He has a huge fan base of young girls who thinks he's cute, and they probably do most of the voting. Don't get me wrong, the boy has talent...he's probably one of the most talented 17 year olds that Idol has ever seen. But I don't think he's the best singer this season. In my opinion, Idol should change their voting setup to be like Dancing with the Stars, where half of the contestant's score is based on viewer voting and the other half comes from the judges.

well yes- since he forgot his lyrics and thats the worst thing you can do on AI
but then i wasn't surprised that he wasn't in the botton 3- he has more than enough fans to keep him up for a while

Yes, He forgot the words. He does have a good voice, but I just don't see him as a pop star! I don't know maybe I will chance my mind, or maybe I'm just getting bored with Idol. I'm just not into it this year. But I had a feeling the stripper was going!

Heck yeah, just shows the producers and the sheep of America keep in who they like (popularity contest) instead of who did the best. At least he should have been in the bottom 3 just to scare his conceited immature butt.

Yes, he wasn't very good on Tuesday...I think he got a bit overconfident and went out of his comfort zone trying to mix it up...he's not that kind of singer/performer...too bad because he had a pretty good voice when he chose the right song...

sorry wrong guy my bad...yes David A should have been in the bottom 3...you cannot forget the lyrics..his nerves got the better of him...he got very lucky last night..

Based on Tuesdays performances, YES, but not based on overall performance, he is an awesome singer and should be there much longer.

maybe he should of but look at my avatar name i love him
