Firefly tv series - worth watching?!
Question: Hi, I'm thinking of renting the firefly tv series box set to watch. I've heard it's a good show. My question is NOT whether it's good or not, but because I read it was cancelled (11 out of 14 episodes produced only), I'd like to ask people who have watched if it comes to a conclusion of sorts.
that is, although you don't get an ending obviously, is it going to be a let down because the story remains unconcluded or is it rewarding nevertheless? I'd hate to watch a series and then find out that I don't have an ending of sorts for it.

I did not watch the series when it initially aired and didn't actually watch it until a few months ago.
It is indeed an incredible series that did not live long enough, and there were a lot of loose ends. I did feel little frustrated as there were a few big questions that had not been answered after the final produced episode. However, I feel much better having seen the series.
I did not intend, or even want to (considering the series had already been cancelled) get so invested in the characters and the story, but I was sucked in by the first episode.
I still have not seen the film released after its cancellation, Serenity, but from what I hear some of the loose ends I speak of do get tied and is at least a more satisfying ending than the ending of the television series.
I say rent it and watch it even though it ends abruptly. I'm confident you won't regret it!
I own the box set of the series and it is one of the best shows I have ever seen. It does leave it open at the end but picks it right back up with the movie "Serenity" which is amazing as well. I suggest you not just rent the series but purchase it as well as the movie. You will not be disappointed.
