In my opinion he is what American Idol is all about! He has no experience in the world of music. If it weren't for A I he would probably not know how to get started with his career. I thought last week's performance was pretty good. It wasn't all that bad. The week before I thought he did a fabulous job with "Imagine".This week he listened to Simon on his song choice and was very uncomfortable with it. He is not a 'Rocker". He should be getting help during the week on song choice and arrangement as he has no experience with these two actions. That should be Idol's responsibility to give him a coach so he has the opportunity to improve. Remember at least two girls have experience already with the music world and possibly 3 of the guys. That's not fair to put an amateur up against those odds. I will continue to vote for him.
I don't think forgetting lyrics is a big deal, but I've never seen him as more than average either way.
The four best are Johns, Carly, White, and Overmeyer. They're actually like pros.
Ironically, I didn't vote for any of them, I voted for Kristy Lee since she is so sweet (looking).

David let his nerves get the best of him. Nevertheless, he sounded good to me. I wished that he would have practice more.
I felt terrible for him, he must have felt we were all expecting a lot from him tonight. I feel that as a performer and singer he is still and will always be the best they have up there. I am pulling for him all the way. He is very passionate about the songs he sings and about singing in general. If he could have picked any song he wanted tonight he would have brought the house down. But as he said, that was the only song he knew out of the book..
It was his worst performance, and not just because he forgot the lyrics. The singing was no better than average. But I think he'll go through - I predict Kristy or Ramielle will get the boot tomorrow - and make it to the final weeks.
Ah, no kidding! Poor thing. He really had a hard time with this week's song topic and he seemed so embarrassed, but I still love him anyhow. Sweet kid, and for 17, he's got some lungs!!
