I've been saying this for years. Ever since that P.O.S. show Total Request Live came around, entire videos were reduced to 30 seconds with live clips in the corner of the screen of screaming girls in Time Square. crap.
This is exactly why i don't watch mtv anymore... they have gown downhill because oif the nonsense they put on their..... Laguna Beach, My Sweet Sixteen just 2 examples of the crap that mtv puts on the air..... sadly people actually watch this, what is this world coming to?
hasn't been music since 93 they should change the name to stv
MTV is not even relevent in the music industry anymore .
They were groundbreaking in the early 80's but over time they have become a reality channel .
Once they was sold to Viacom that was the end of MTV as an outlet for music videos .
Thats why many people don't watch it. I miss headbangers ball.
Twenty years ago it was all music, with a bit of music news. Standard procedure was to have your TV on MTV all the time with the mute on, then turn it up when a good video was played.
A third of the time, the "good video" was "Hot for Teacher" by Van Halen.
Those were the days...:)
For real music go to 88 to 91 FM - radio 2.
yeah i used to love mtv but it has rapidly gone downhill and just shows a load of rubbish now, its all celebritys lives and their cribs and messing up their lives it is pure sh1t
