Would you still watch American Idol?!

Question: if Simon Cowell wasn't a judge? I know he is snippy and rude, but even if you dislike him, do you secretly look forward to what he's going to say?

I'm addicted to American Idol, but it seems like Randy says the same old thing (dog, it was just okay for me, but a little pitchy), then Paula chimes in with something similar but adds, "but you look beautiful, and you made the song your own".

Simon, on the other hand, tells like it like it is. I don't always agree with him, but I always look forward to his opinion.

Like him or not, he MAKES the show. At least in my opinion.

Or, in Simon's words, "Look, people, I'm just being honest---it's just an opinion!."

I probably would, but it wouldn't be the same.

yes it wouldent be the same.

No.... Hes the only reason I ever watch the show, and thats only in the first 5 or so episodes...

heck yes!

I would still watch it, but I would miss Simon. You need a mean judge to keep the show fun.

i would but i don't think it would be as interesting :)

yes

Well, I wouldn't watch if Simon wasn't a judge. I think his rude comments or critique gets them ready for the world of media where all your moves are judged. Its more exiting too.

I'm not sure if I would or not. Even though Simon can be quite rude at times I think most value his opinion more than Randy's or Paula's.

I think it would make the whole show boring if Simon wasn't on there. He brings something fresh and new to the show, and I think everyone has a want to see Simon every week (even if they're afraid to admit it).

Prolly would watch, though Simon is my fav.

Yes i watch the show.
If Randy wasn't a judge, American Idol would lose some ratings but the show would continue.
If Paula wasnt a judge, American Idol would receive more ratings....Paula NEEDS to leave...I think they should get someone who is in the business currently i.e. Gwen Stefani...or someone else who is like that....because they need someone who can say the contestants have nice clothes but Paula has a problem of looking drunk and high on the air

If Simon wasnt a judge...the show would be over. Simon makes American Idol intertesting....he is absolutely truthful and holds nothing back....if u ask people what their favorite parts of the show are they will say either: 1-Auditions or 2-Simon Cowell's comments

but i do not secretly look forward....i proudly broadcast it...haha

i probably wouldnt. for one, i barley watch the show much now because i dont think anyone who wins the show from now on will ever do nearly as well as Kelly Clarkson did. and the show will be either ending or getting new judges in a few years.. already, paula is 46, simon is 49, and randy is 52. theyre getting old. they were all a lot younger when the show started. and even if they did continue, it would probably lose its appeal to a lot of people when people who are older than my grandparents judging.

Idk. It would be really different huh?? I think I would. I would just complain about Simon not being there

No i dont think i would watch it if simon wasn't a judge he has made the show what it is he is the one that makes it intresting, he is the only one that says what he is thinking. If it wasnt for Simon then the show would be boring with Randy saying pretty much the same thing "dog that was alrite but a bit pitchy' and Paula just going on bout nothing much and then at the end adding your hair is beautiful etc. I definately wouldnt be watching the auditions i sit there and wait for simon feedback, some of the things he comes up with are hilarious!!
