Why are Disney kid sitcoms so over-acted?!
Question: These kid actors are all dressed in BRIGHT colors, LOUD voices, and wild ARM MOVEMENTS.
Were they like this when I was younger and I just did not notice? I like to think there was at least some subtlety in our programs. They didn't have to spell out jokes entirely.

I think it has always been the same, but you come to realise it more. It's to inject energy and excitement. That's why Disney Kid sitcoms are annoying on the whole to adults, but kids love them!
Well obviously the over-acting is working better than it did back in your day...
These kids are mega-stars...and they wouldn't be if they didn't get noticed!

The producers of the show know that in order to get money, they've got to keep their audiences attention for ratings(viewers). Since their audience is so young, and young people often have short attention spans, the producers encourage the actors to be overly dramatic in their performances.
Basically, kids are more likely to pay attention to young people dressed brightly, over-doing jokes, etc than some middle aged man in a grey sweater reading a book out loud.
iv noticed quite annoying for instance there are 15 17 yr old kids on that channel acting like 10 year olds im 13 and i act more mature then them. Its so annoying! it makes kids act very imature and stupid DOWN WITH DISNEY CHANNEL NOW!!!!
O and there acting so stupid because they r getting paid they dont give a damn towards what ppl think of them they just want money like 50 cent gets ya know I I I get money and I I I get money lol jk
