What's up with people who auditions for American Idol?!
Question: I know it's a free country but....some of those who audition are really clowns and people laugh at them. What makes them audition when "perhaps" they know that they really suck in singing or freaky?

A lot of the people who audition are college students who are performing a dare. They are just having fun. Some others are trying to get on TV and make a big joke out of themselves. Then there are a rare few who believe that they actually possess talent.

I think American Idol puts them on the show just to spice things up. If you didn't know already, there are a series of auditions to go through to see if you get qualified to be on the TV auditions. So yeah... I think it's all fake as well.
they probably aren't being serious. either american idol producers hire them to get publicity, or they just want attention on tv, and are being silly. I personally think thats stupid but whatever! It makes american idol even more entertaining! I mean, it's not like they pass any horrible singers onto the actual competition, it's just for fun!
They want to be on TV. They know they are not good, but hey look at William Chung...the guy is famous and he didn't even to make it to Hollywood!

Most of them just want their 15 minutes of fame and some others may be told what to do purely for entertainment purposes.
Honestly, they just want to get 15 seconds on national television so they can be famous worldwide. Just like that Valerie Reyes girl who tried soooo hard to be just like Mariah Carey. LOL.
it's called getting your 15min. of fame.
