Question: lol i did, i used to stop the tape if i didnt like a song

Answers: lol i did, i used to stop the tape if i didnt like a song

Yes I did, but the really sad thing is, I then used to edit it onto another tape missing out the talking and the songs I wasn't keen on ........... took bloody ages lol !!

Yeah me too lol :) Got quite a few classic songs on tape now, was a fun way to spend an afternoon

yes me too and i tried not to get any talking on the tape too

Off the radio, yeah!! It always sounded terrible didn't it!!

Thats going back a bit. We used to as well and listen to it going to school on the bus on monday mornings

Me too! I'd stop the tape aswell, though later on my brother bought a twin tape deck so we'd just copy the songs we wanted after!

Me too. It always sounded rubbish!

I use to do it when i was at school. I d stop and start the tape for songs that i liked. It was good for getting new chart songs

Oh god yeah, back in the day n stop the tape before the D.J started talking. lol

i did back in the '80's and early '90s, but would just tape the songs i liked, not the whole show....glad to see i wasn't alone.

Yep...youve just taken me back to my schooldays.....used to try not to get the DJ talking on it....it took a lot of skill...let me tell you.....

oh god i used to love doing that on a sunday, and i stopped the tape to if i didnt like the song hahaha

me. exactly the same thing.

I used too do that and always got the Dj as well but as a 70's child never had the techno things they do now they are all so lucky today press of a button and up comes a song plus video wished we had youtube then lol

Ha Ha yes I did that back in the 70's.......I guess you could say we invented an early version of The Podcast !!!

Ha ha - my brothers did but I was a technophobe even back then!!!

Oh yes ,..i use to do the same thing! ;)

Every Sunday i taped the whole chart,..and if a song that i didn't like came on i would stop it then record once it was over!

And some times the tape would run out in-between the chart so i had to put in another one to continue ,..which was tricky! ;)

I still have some of them on tape now,...from the 80's !. It's great to listen back to.

Bruno Brook's and Marc Goodyear hosted the charts at the time,..and they were deemed back then as mega stars,..as all DJ's were at that time.

Aaahh,..the good old days,...when the chart was worth listening to!

I did!!!

Omg yeah when i was a teen ,funny how times have changed don't even know if you can buy blank tapes anymore , lol !!

Listened but didn't tape!

Oh wow I did as well - it seems like years ago!! I used to be really excited to hear who was Number 1!!

I did! i was always pressing stop and record!
and i was also glued to watching top of the pops every week!

how funny i did this too. and if i didn't know the song then i would let it tape till i decided if i liked it. if i did not then it was a mad rewind to the end of the last one. also it used to drive me mad having the dj talking on it so i used to rewind at the end of the song and stop it just before his voice cut in!! funny the things we used to do!!!!!

LMAO, Yeah and listen to it all week until I used the tape again the following Sunday, Oh to be 13 again! LOL
