Because the new top knob at ITV decided he knew what the general public want on a Sunday night and in his opinion it was not soaps. In my humble opinion the bloke is a knob and should be sacked , i used to love the 7-8 hour over a cup of tea on the sofa, but what do they care what we actually want ?!!!!
The people who control the channels want the weekend to be soap free!!! :-(

becuse the program planners in there infinate wisdom decided we didnt want them on the telly on a sunday night
ITV wanted to make the weekend a 'soap free zone', I think they said it was to get more programming at the weekend that people will want to see. They show Corrie twice on a friday though, don't they?
Because Dancing on ice is on Sundays but wil be back next week because dancing on ice finishes 2 night!!! i know i cant wait to it comes back on sundays!!

they are not on because the tv 'executives' have been told to cut back on the soaps and to air more family friendly prog's. This is annoying to many people. But frankly what's so good about a bunch of has been's pretending to skate & obviously tryin to kick start dead or dyin careers.

its annoying isnt it? its like a fact of life that they were there and now they have gone and all we have to replace them is Dancing-and-making-a-d**k-of-yourself On Ice and Wild at Heart, which is basically Heartbeat with a few lions thrown in!
They just put all extra ones on in week to make up for it and they just wanted to fill in Sunday nights with more family things like DOI and Wild At Heart.
I do not mind as we get two lots of double in week.

because of dancing on ice and wild at heart. they make up for it with a double bill of corrie of a Friday and an hour long emmerdale during the week. when dancing on ice finnishes next week then they will continue on a sunday

I dunno...I went away on holiday and came back to find they were not on any more.
Not enough space to put Dancing on Ice on on a Saturday night so its on Sundays instead and the soaps were pushed to one side for it.
Dont know family nite apparently f**k all on on sundays now. Eastenders is on next sunday tho coz it not on friday 4 sport relief.
They decided it would be soap free at weekends.I really miss them.
Because the RTV show 'Dancing on Ice' is on instead but I expect they will return after next week when DOI finishes.
Apparently the tv bosses want a 'soap free weekend'. But what do they put on in its place? RUBBISH. My other half is not into soaps but even he would rather watch them then Dancing on ice!! Bring them back isay!!
