Project Runway Question: Why do the contestants have tattoos?!
Question: what's up with those tattoos? they look like drug addicts! but men! theyre so cool! theyre good in designing, but what about those tattoos? What does it mean to have so many tattoos in a contest in project runway?

Well, the winner of last season's Project Runway (Jeffrey Sebelia), was a recovering drug addict. He had tattoos everywhere throughout his body, and I found it to be quite repulsing to look at. But, I suppose that it didn't matter what he looked like on the outside because he made amazing clothes, and ended up being the winner of season 3 of Project Runway!

What does it matter if they have tattoos or not? It has nothing to do with how well they do on the show or anything. It has everything to do with their talent as designers.

I don't think it means anything. Over the past few years tatoos have become very popular as a way of expressing yourself. Designers are very artistic people so maybe they are using this as a form of self expression.
All I think it means is that you are seeing a cross section of America, and lots of people have tatoos now. I remember a few years ago almost no one had them, or if you got one you put it on your hip or belly where it could be easily hidden.
If the producers were to eliminate all the prospective contestants that have tattoos, there wouldn't be a show.. I think it looks awful, but that's just me, & it isn't up to me to tell someone else what to do with their own skins..
