What does it mean when television programs say " All Characters are welcome!
Question: USA Network uses the slogan "Characters Welcome" to advertise their original programming, because their programming has a lot of quirky main characters. Thus, they are saying that "characters" (quirky, interesting, off-the-main-path people) are welcome on their shows, and thus their shows will be quirky, interesting, fun-to-watch.
Dead Zone: The psychic who reads people by touching them
Monk: The obsessive-compulsive detective
Psych: The hyper-observant guy who pretends to be psychic
Burn Notice: The snarky ex-spy who is more comfortable with duct tape than guns (although he uses the latter well)
