Has anyone received their $40 off coupons for the DTV converter boxes?!
Question: I get a different answer every time I call about them. My status on the internet says mine has been mailed. When I called some girl told me the bulk of them had been mailed a couple weeks ago. Then I talked to a woman a couple days ago. She said this girl didn't know what she was talking about. They have not been mailed, yet & the internet site is wrong when it says mine has.

According to the "Recent Updates" on the government site (link below), some have been sent and some haven't. I was at a local Radio Shack last weekend and they said that they had sold out of their existing conversion boxes but were expecting more shortly.
My status says that I've been approved and that they are preparing to mail my coupons. I'm not sure of the "preparation" process. In the FAQ section, it appears that the government will not re-issue lost or stolen coupons. If you only applied for one initially, however, you could apply for a second even if the first never came.
I hope you get yours shortly. A new TV would cost a lot more than a conversion box.

This is vague, but I recall hearing SOMEWHERE in the last couple of days that the company who makes them had some kind of glitch getting the coupons out, or something along those lines. I don't recall where I saw it, but I know I did.
I got mine on thursday and got the magnavox converter. It looks and acts like a credit card, and is red in color.
I got mine today. But I ordered them the very first day they were available.
