Fans of the TV show 'LOST'.....?!

Question: Things have definitely gotten interesting the past few epidodes...well, more so than usual. I have a few Q's for my fellow LOST fans:
1. I cannot help but wonder what the deal was with that magic box that brought John Locke's father to the island. Did I miss something? Was there ever any explanation about WTF was up with that? I only remember one episode about it. And I know there are many unexplained odd things about that show but I just found myself wondering about that one thing in particular.
2. Who do you think is Ben's inside guy on the ship? Michael?
3. Why do you think Kate ends up with Claire's baby Aaron?

1. I'd forgotten about that. I know the next episode will be "enhanced" like a pop-up video/commentary on the screen kind of show. At least, that's what I've heard. So, maybe there will be mention there. I think they've got so much to explain that on-screen commentary is the only way to cover it all.

2. I could see it being Michael or, strangely, Walt. I don't dare predict. My first thought was that it was Boone, but he wasn't a substantial enough character. What if it's Mr. Echo?

3. I think Claire ends up dying as do most of the people on the island. But I'll bet Jack, being the hero, makes every effort to make sure Aaron survives. Or maybe Ben has something to do with it because Aaron was born on the island . . . ?

There's so much to speculate on. I try not to because the show rarely goes where I'm expecting it to. I've been able to predict Heroes better than Lost.

EDIT: I'm not so sure the show is dealing with time travel exactly as it seems they are dealing with time anomalies.

EDIT: Oh! My fiance just reminded me that Ben handed John a box from out of the safe in the last episode. I honestly can't remember the box that you are talking about, but is there maybe a connection? (Too many details to get lost in. No pun intended.)

And I think the theories about Kate/Aaron are interesting. As soon as she said Aaron, I assumed it was Claire's Aaron. It really could be her own baby. Hmmmmm.

Great observations all! :) Thanks for the question, Jenae!

1. It is pretty obvious that the show is moving to a time travel story line this season. I think the box has something to do with that. Ben is "in the loop" about the time travel and goes back to get people as he see's fit.

2. Not sure of the inside man yet...I think it is probably a character that hasn't been introduced yet.

3. In the flash forward scenes this season we know that there are only 6 survivors from the oceanic flight. I think that this means Claire doesn't make it but Aaron does (he wasn't born until they got to the island so I don't think he counts as the one of the "Oceanic 6") and Kate has adopted him.

1. Locke's "father" didn't come out of a magic box... Ben brought him to the island where Locke was supposed 2 kill him 2 prove his worthiness.... Locke ended up having Sawyer kill him because Lockes father was the person that ineveitably made Sawyer's father kill his mother and then himself.
2. Ben's inside guy on the ship is definetly Michael since the real man's name has returned to the opening credits
3. I have a couple theories on this one... either for some reason Claire doesn't survive and gives Kate the baby... or possibly the baby dies and Kate is actually pregnant and names her baby after Aaron

I've said it before and I'll say it again. The people on the island have the technology to open wormholes to anywhere they want to go on Earth.Think of it as Earthgate, kinda like Stargate. This is either an ancient technology or a recent discovery. It is one of the big secrets of the island. They have dropped so many clues about it I am surprised that so few people have gotten it. Ben and his people come and go too easily to actually travel back and forth between the island and the mainland via submarine.

1. the magic box was a metaphor. i don't know how his father got to the island,
2.I hope it is Micheal. Otherwise it is some other survivor of the plane or one of the Others. At least someone that we have seen before.
3.I think Claire either has to give up her baby and Kate if forced to care for him. OR Claire dies and Kate is forced to care for him.
I LOVE LOST!!

1) I am torn on the magic box. I remember Locke's father saying something about him driving down some interstate and the next thing he was on the island. Now Ben does have the hook up in the outside world & could very well have gotten him there he alsp later told Locke that the magic box was a metahpor. But with the new twist of time travel who knows!
2) I didn't know who the inside guy was. i originally thought it was a character we haven;t seen yet. Now I'm thinking it's Michael. There's no way Ben let him and Walt just sail away on that boat.
3) I think that Ben is behind this one too, the bug -eyed creep. Claire probably gave him to Kate when she was rescued to save him from life on the island and Ben. But why doesn't Claire leave? That's what I want to know. Man, I'm still mad they killed off Charlie!

1. Considering what we know of the island, it's possible that wasn't even Locke's father. People have seen dead people, like Jack's father, Charlie, and Eko's brother, so it's entirely possible that Locke's father was really a manifestation of the island, and not really him. It was a test of some sort.

2. I'm betting on Michael. Which would be interesting, since Walt helped Locke, so Michael and Walt may be working both sides, or have an agenda of their own.

3. The easiest explanation is that Claire dies. It's also possible that Claire was unable to leave, but sent Aaron with Kate. Or, it's even possible that Kate abducted him. She could have meant well, like trying to give him a normal life, against Claire's wishes. As usual, we'll have to wait and see.

i think ben's inside guy is michael. as for claire's baby what concerns me is the psychic said the baby must be raised by claire and no one else. claire loves aaron so much that she must die on the island and then kate adopts him. i am anxious to find out about his special powers. as for the box i vaguely remember it but don't remember the resolution to the story of the box. sorry i couldn't be of more help.
