What happened to House's leg?!
Question: i just started watching house and i was wondering number one how many seasons has it been on? and two what happened to his leg? and three what happened between him and the girl he lived with for five years, that caused the problem with his leg?

house's leg/ stacy:
he had a bllod clot in his leg which the doctors didn't diagnose until it was too late which caused muscle death. the doctor wanted to amputate his leg because for some reason it was really dangerous not to, and house didn't. he asked to be put in an coma so that he wouldn't have to feel the extreme pain he was in. when he was unconscious stacy had some of the muscle in his thigh removed which left him w/a limp and chronic pain. she thinks she saved his life and he blames her for the pain and limp he has now. basically, she left him because he blamed her. if u watch the episode "three stories," it explains everything.
The issue with his leg is from a bullet it was in an episode!!! Bye !
Just be patient. You will see what happened to his leg soon. I presently watching the 3rd season. as to how many there really is, i can't tell you for sure.
He had an infection - they really needed to amputate but he said no. The current hospital administrator was the doc that said ok to the lesser surgery - and now he is in constant pain
