American Idol: Real Talk!!!?!
Question: I'm about to hit on some personal truths and you can accept that I'm right, or try to "hate" on me for being right.
Let me just say I watch American Idol, and yes I have some favorites. But can I be honest for a moment?
*A female is NOT winning this season
*David Archuleta is highly overrated, and annoying -but he is a good singer.
*Chikezie is the only black guy there, and I guarantee you he is getting the um, "urban" sympathy vote. Why? Because every single week without fail he squeaks by to another round....by the skin of he teeth people!!! He's ok, but by no means good enough to be in the top 12
*Carly Smithson is overrated too, but I'm rooting for her because her name has been ripped to shreads by people who are mad because she had a major record deal once upon a time.....c'mon, who cares!! Have you heard of her before she auditioned for AI? I highly doubt it, so lay off! Do some reasearch, and you'll find that ALOT of past Idol contestants had record deals before

I agree on all points except DAnny Noriega...I am glad he is gone...I just wish he'd have taken ARchuleta w/him!!
That kid urkes me to no end...he acts so humble and innocent and doe eyed but every time he is interviewed he brags about his singing ability. Singing in front of Kelly Clarkson and that stupid "most embarrassing" moment when he said he went to some forgein country to sing and "they went through a lot of trouble to have me come sing for them" Who does this kid think he is?!! He is HIGHLY OVERRATED!!!

They are all robots except for the rocker nurse....She is actually her own person but America won't let her win...

Really? I think it'll come down between Carly and David. Carly I think is the best of the females, well i'm not so sure about David. He's very good but I kinda like that long haired boy with the dreds and the guy from Australia may take it too. Infact I think you may be right on a girl NOT winning this time. If it's between the guys it'll probably be between David and the guy from Australia. Who kind of reminds me of the lead singer of Hinder:)

I agree with most everything. I think she girls were awesome this week. I really like that goody/blonde and a little disappointed about the "Janis" girl. I'm waiting to hear something less edgy. None of the guys really stand out for me.

I have to say I almost agree with you. I have been telling my wife for the last few years that I dont believe America chooses the Idol winner. There is always some politically correct crap going on during this show. You always have the usual suspects. The minorities, the overweight people, the extremely young people, the single parent who is trying to do this for their children etc. Im not saying there is anything wrong with these people but I believe that America is being duped. The winner will not be a female this year just like you said. The people at American Idol choose the contestants and choose who wins period. Oh and by the way Im glad that Danny guy got voted off he made me more sick than that Sanjaya guy.
I agree a female is definetely not going to win but, i dont think that david archulata is over rated???????(wats that suipposed to mean?) i dont like carly but not becuz of the record deal thing, its just my opinion, my least favorite in the top twelve is amanda overmyer shes way too compulsive and yeah danny should have been eliminated and im glad he did!!!!!!!! you never really said who you thought was going to win in your"truthful" explanation

I so agree with you!!! I want Danny back!! That Chikezie guy is a lousy singer!! I think they should change the voting system. They should let us vote and then let the judges eliminate their least favorite from the bottom two.
LOL....LOL.....I agree w/you pretty much on all, except Danny N. He was diff, yes, but he bugged me to no end,. It is one thing if a person chooses to be gay, but he was a fairy! But u are stating truths up in here!!!! Oh and I really like Jason Castro......I don't really think he will win, but I'd like for him to!!! He has such a distinguished voice!!!! =)
I agree with you for the most part but I also think that the "urban viewers" would be more critical when a "black" male of female sings because they expect a lot more out of them as strong singers, in my opinion. I have to say that I was upset that Alexandrea was eliminated because she was unique and her vocals were on another level... I think if she would have done the average popular pop-ish song people would have liked her more.
