She finds a lump on her breast. She goes on a big drinking binge in the following days. Phil Mitchell finds her unconscious she collapsed from having drank to much, he takes her to the hospital. She tells the doctor something else is wrong, shes found a lump on her breast and fears its cancer. She doesnt confide in anyone and when she gets a referral letter from the hospital she burns it. Shes chosen to say nothing and to let fate take its cause. This paragraph was in this weeks inside soap- lets hope she gets help i love shirley.

Im not too sure, but I know she used to play Yvonne in Bad Girls on ITV. Maybe her character in Eastenders is too soft and non swearing unlike her bad girls character?
