ANTM cycle 10 - What did u think of the makeovers episode last night?!
Question: I'm very much enjoying this cycle, but the makeovers were a little weird. I like that Tyra didn't tell them beforehand, that they just sat down in their chairs and found out after each one was totally done.
But the photo shoot afterward seemed awkward - the girls didn't really know how to pose...I think we've been spoiled the last several episodes with girls who really rocked the photoshoots. This cycle, this girl's are very clearly beginners.
I think Claire looks like Susan Powter but I LOVE her hair and the color. She has a strong face and it emphasizes it in a big way.
Fatima looks like a modern day Iman and I love that look.
Anya was just wrong for the all over platinum hair - it focuses on her big nose and makes her look plain. I think the only time white blonde hair worked was on Amanda from cycle 3 because she had those gorgeous brilliant blue eyes that popped with the color.
Lauren surprised me at how pretty she became, but I think she is too uncomfortable with looking pretty to really accept it. Same goes for Amis.
The snobbies - Katarzyna and Allison - neither impressed me. I was happy that Allison went home after all her bragging...I think Katar should go next just because she's traditionally pretty and not a model.
Marvita really does look like a horse now but I like her; she takes amazing pictures so far!
And Aimee - she's my favorite - I think she just rocks.

Some of them were amazing - Claire, Aimee, Fatima, Lauren - they all blew me away with how beautiful they looked.
Some of them weren't very good - Anya has a huge nose with blonde hair and she looks like a Russian version of Celine Dion. Stacy Ann looks like she got her haircut in Bedrock, just hand the girl a club and she'll fit right in. Marvita looks like a horse, literally.
And others...I'm not sure about. I think I liked Whitney better as a brunette. Amis looks pretty good but there's something about her in general I just don't like. Dominique looks like a 40-something soccer mom now.
And yet others - Allison looked pretty but her personality is so bad that it made her ugly/snobby. I was glad she went home. And Katarzyna also strikes me as a total snob - don't care much for her.
But I loved the episode, I'm loving how Tyra has gone back to basics for this cycle.
i would have to agree that some of them looked good but if i went on that show and got my hair bleached blonde or got all of it cut off i would be pretty upset.
Tyra is getting more horrible each season with the makeovers. It almost seems like she purposely give some of the girls bad makeovers to prevent them from winning the competition. I mean........ come on....... Dominque's make over was awful! She looked much better before her makeover. She looked like she had aged about 20 friggin years! Tyra says that wasnt the hair color that she asked them to give her! Forget the hair color, what about another hair style. Stacy Ann's hair cut was so ugly. I hate that cut on her! It makes her look to masculine. Anya's blonde hair is not cute at all. Marvita.......... OMG! She literally looks like a friggin horse! Fatima's looks ok, but still I am not blown away by it. Amis looked ok. Lauren's hair looked overprocessed.
Actually, to answer your question, I didnt like any of the makeovers. Tyra needs to step it up!
my 2 favorite makeovers of the night were allison and lauren. I think marvita and fatima look a lot better now, too.
I think they killed dominique's chances. they cut on her for looking like a soccer mom when they're the ones that made her look that way. and poor stacey ann.
I liked aimee's color, but not on her. I think she and katarznya(spelling?)both looked better before.
I really like claire, but I don't like her hair. I didn't like it before either, though. so I guess it's an improvement.
oh, and I really like whitney's hair, but I think she looked better with darker hair.
I did not like anya's too-blonde makeover. and I didn't like amis's either. they could have done much better with her.
I thought some looked awesome - Fatima, Aimee, Katarzyna, Lauren and Amis, especially! I liked the crop they gave Claire, but I don't think the bleached-blonde look is the best for her. I'm sure she'll work it, though. The other questionable one was Whitney. The blonde weave makes her look so ordinary. Again, we'll see what she does with it. The ones who looked horrid were Anya and Dominique! At least it sounded like they are going to fix that bad, helmet-hairdo they gave Dominique, but poor Anya! That blonde washes her out too much and totally draws your attention to her jacked up nose and her odd eyes.
I already don't like Marvita but they were just wrong to do that to her hair. Now she looks like a cross between Chris Rock and Mr. Ed. That is just a mean thing to do to a person.
I like that they did several redheads. I liked Whitney's look. I think Claire looks super-fierce with the platinum. Whoever said Anya looks like a Russian Celine Dion, nailed it. She totally does. Her nose looks like she was in a prize fight two weeks ago and the swelling hasn't gone down yet. Aimee looks much better. I didn't really take much note of her before the make-over. I would have liked them to do something different with Fatima. She already looks so much like Iman, I don't think it needs emphasizing. I don't know what the hell they were thinking about Stacey-Ann's hair. It looks awful. Lauren's makeover was pretty but now she looks a lot like Britney the whiner from a previous season. Her personality is probably a lot better though. Amis looks like Lisa the drunk and her brain functions about like Lisa's when she was drunk. I just don't see a whole lot of potential in most of these girls.
my favorite was allison's...if she was hot! after the makeover she looks hotter!!! but her attitude was too cocky and i really liked her im sas shes gone, and she even cried i wish i could give her a hug...i hope is not the last we see from her!!
i also loved marvita's...she looks soo cute now....i really love it...now im rooting for her! she has to win!!
claire...wat can i say twice in a row covergirl of the week, beautiful girl for me shes runner up!!
lauren...beautiful akward girl she is going to start rocking it...a most improved version of shadi from cycle 2...
aimee...looks soo hot too...i think they made a good job for her...
fatima....before she was ugly...she changed a little she looks beautiful now....but i still dont like her shes a bit.ch i hate her!! tyra just wanted her to look like iman
whitney- i hate her sooooo much...she is going to have a break down just like the past plus sized models, she is so ugly
anya- tyra did a bad job for her...blonde doesnt look good on her...may be a red hair like allison's would be better...
amis- just dont like her...she questions herself about being on the competition, she would look better with short hair and red too...
dominique- the drag queen was the one who should've been sent home...her hair looks like saleisha's a little but shes going to be eliminated next haha..
stacy-ann-looks like ambreal from cycle 9 with that hair....i still like that girl though but shes eliminated after dominique
katarzyna-looks like a playboy girl with that color, may be a red hair looks better on her
AImee's haie color was good but i think she should have her hair long as it was.
Marvita, whitney, amis, fatima, and allison were very good.
The worst were anya's and dominque new makeovers were really bad.
