Because the public treat them as if they are special. If no one paid attention when they walk down the street, or are on TV, or in magazines, they would soon become more normal. The celebrities with less people following them have a sense of who they are..just people who happen to work in the movie industry. No big heads. But when we all stand in line to buy the magazines to see what Paris Hilton is doing this moment, or go to the websites to see what is happening with Britney Spears and her health issues, we are adding to their thinking of how great they are.
Have you ever watched the processions around Queen Eliz. in England. Rows and rows of people show up along the boulevard to get a second of seeing her. If no one showed up, she wouldn't even bother with the parade.
But, we all want to see what they are doing, and how different they live than us, and yes, even to see their flaws, because we of course are perfect.. Human nature.
But we needn't call them names or insult them. It is no different than a child whom the parents spoil, and then grow up with no boundaries and expecting the world to also idolize them. WE program people to be what we want them to be (even to act stupid to amuse us), and so we need to look at our part in the equation of life.

i agree with u. but its the media that throw them in our faces 24/7. we just cant get away form them...and they get bigger by the minute and bigger egos too.

Because people like you are interested in writing about them... whether good or bad no press is bad press for them so they are constantly talked about sometimes resulting in them feeling 'special' !
How you have judged they feel like this I am not sure unless you know many celebs.
Cuz the fans and the media put them up on pedestals and idolize them so eventually they will develop oversized egos. This applies to everyone else who's idolized and not just to celebrities.

Because they get treated special by the fans and the media. If you had people adoring you and hanging on to everything you said, you might act different also.
All that fame goes to their heads. They think that because they are celbrities they are to have us working class stiffs bow down and kiss their @$$3$. When they screw up they wont us to feel sorry for them. These are the same ones who make these lame @$$ PSA's and tell us to do this and they turn around and do the exact same thing. They really need to get over yourselves. Big deal you have a baby and people are to flip like only they can give birth or that they did it first. Get over yourselves....everybody else has.
People in show biz think they're above true hard working people. The entertainment , television, media, movie industry etc..... all put them up on a pedistal. Also the award shows, what a joke. A real Hero and other people deserve an award. Their salaries..........They don't deserve to get paid as much as they do. Most of them are fake, with most getting plastic surgery to look better. Because its their job to feel and act better than the rest to pull in the most publicity and thus earn more money, a modest celebrity usually has to have brains and finesse on their side to get anywhere
