I liked the original mini-series, but the full series that came afterwards was very poor and rather embarrasing.
I think a remake now wouldn't have the same impact, since similar ground has been covered since by films like "Independence Day" and even other TV shows.
I heard that they were, the original has been showing on Sky recently
I watched it in the USA a few years ago, it was great, yes a remake would be good.
No, I don't think it would be the same. I really loved that show. No one could replace Mark Singer or any of the other main characters. I really would love to see repeats though!

Fantastic show. Shame they cancelled it, left many plot-lines unfinished & unanswered.
Was pretty ground-breaking at the time, but i think alien invasion has been done to death since, and it really wouldn't work.
Remember Robert England's character?
He would always mispronouce or screw up English phrases.
One moment that I still remember (from the Tv series):
The resistance was guarding a diplomat.
He was in the kitchen with England, who was making a salad.
"You're one of them, aren't you?"
"Yes, but I help the resistance."
(looking at the salad) "I thought you guys only ate mice and gerbils."
"Most of us do, but I'm a veternarian."
