Do we worship Oprah? Has she become a Goddess?!
Question: Awww...Oprah, the greatest human being on Earth. I love people who come a long way to become gazillionaires. I love black people who "make it" because they cast a giant shadow over the less fortunate ones who don't - it comes in handy when traveling abroad and being asked about black people's lack of opportunities; I can just say, "You mean like Denzel or Oprah or Shaq?" and feel all smart-allecky inside. But has Oprah become too much with this show? Has her God-dom gone to her head? Can we build a temple or church and worship her, what's next?

its funny you talk about this I always like Oprah.Her shows sometimes are very informant...But lately all she talks about is my best friend Gail,my school for girls in Africa, my book club,my,my, my. Yes lately I feel like it all has gone to her head. Always looking for money for the poor black kids in Africa. Yes they are very poor but what about our own American children? Where has all the money collected for these countries gone? They claim it takes 50 cents a day to feed them they should have plenty,or is the money misused? It's easy for these rich people to plead for money from us like we make the money they do,If I did they would get it.These rich stars raise MILLIONS for political politicians , raise it for the old & young that don't have new K Mart sneakers...I'm sure Oprah gives her share but to her school only. I never heard her promote anything else. Look at all the give aways she does for her audience,poor need it more.. Same goes for the rest of the stars... Want to talk about lack of opportunities,what about women in general. There are a lot of single working moms work as hard as some men,work long hours,get no child support and don't get paid as much for doing a mans job. Yes, Oprah is a generous person forget the white children,let her give to the American black children in the states along with the whites..

i can't stand Oprah..she is a narcissist and completely self serving....i am so sick of seeing her photoshopped @ss on the cover of her magazine every month...yeah-she donates $$$ and helps others but it is only to make herself look good....and i think she is racist.....plus i think she is secretly married to Gayle and Steadman is just a patsy....
No......I don't really think Oprah is like a goddess or whatever. I just think she's a good role model or someone to look up to.
I don't worship her. Nor do I watch her show or read any of the books she recommends. I do not pay any attention to her at all. And that has othing to do with her race - it has everything to do with her being overhyped and people letting her think she has so much influence on society.
The people that worship her are the ones that lack the ability to think for themselves. They are the same people that would vote for a presidential candidate because some celebrity told them to.

I used to be a fan but lately it's all about her her her. I cant stand that she changes her voice to suit what race shes speaking to at the moment. I won't turn into a Oprah zombie!! I refuse to listen to her bullshit now
