One Life To Live Soap Opera Gone Too Far?!
Question: Having Starr Manning and Cole Thornheart make love... is it going to far? I mean, they play 16 year old on screen, and Kristen Alderson, who plays Starr, is 16 in real life. The actor who plays Cole is 23!! I think that's a bit much to be showing on tv. They should wait until Kristen is AT LEAST 18 to be putting her in a scene like this. I know that they don't go through with it because Starr's father, Todd, walks in on them, but they still go pretty far. What do you think?

Just because teenagers have sex in real life does not mean OLTL has to glorify it on screen they have all of these promos as if them having sex is a good thing she is 16 years old it's absolutely ridiculous.

I don't think they go too far ... sex is reality ( teenage reality ), not showing doesn't mean i didn't or doesn't happen.

i dont think they have gone too far. in the world we live in kids younger than 16 are having sex. i'm not saying its ok but it happens. the show is keeping with reality. kids have sex.
that just sucked for starr. todd jus walked in on her. i would want to die. did they do the deed yet or were they about to?
todd went to far beating up that other kid. and now he's gonna kill cole. good show today tho and i'm not a fan of oltl.
So, why do you continue to watch stuff like this? Are you under the control of an unknown origin? At the age of 20, I'd think you would not want to waste your time with these silly shows. That's my answer to YOUR question. That's what I think.
It is totally giving a bad example!!!!! Who wants to see two teenagers go at it anyway?? Whoever does is a perv. YES, they went way too far. It was very inappropriate.
Of course sex is part of life and that soaps are about life, but I think it is slightly irresponsible for OLTL to show this. People, specifically parental groups, may think that they are glorifying teen sex and will want to encourage teens to be promiscuous. I'm not saying that's what I think the scene will do, I'm saying this is what other people will likely think.
I dont feel that they've gone too far. I feel that 16 is way too young to be having sex, but a lot of 16 year olds' do have sex. It happens. I have two kids in high school and you wouldnt believe the stuff that goes on. Its reality.
Well that is the sad reality though, kids have sex at much younger ages. They maybe should have edited some of that out but that is sopas for ya!
well it's gonna be a story line now probably about how they are glad they didn't go through w/ it and they should wait...plus there was no mention of a condom which was irresponsible on OLTL part.......blah blah blah...but i didn't know he was 23 in real life...that is kinda gross....and that Kristen Alderson is probably having sex already in real life anyway....
The writers have to make the show believable. This stuff happens in real life all the time, teenagers sleeping together. I agree with you though and what is this going to say to teenage girls who watch the show? This is pretty much saying it's ok to lose your virginity at age 16.
