Exactly what confused you? Cromartie killed all of the FBI agents except for Ellison. We don't know why he was left alive - maybe as bait for Sarah. It turns out that the guy Derek killed wasn't Sarkissian (who is the one who has the Turk, which is possibly going to evolve into Skynet), it was just one of his flunkies. Sarkissian planted a car bomb in retaliation, but Cameron was in the car so she's probably fine, although she may need new skin. Derek revealed that he knows that Kyle was John's father. Charlie and Ellison both realized just how dangerous terminators are. John started to learn about how they are programmed and his crew realized that the models being sent after them are highly adaptable and able to pass as human in more than a physical sense.
As for next season, Fox hasn't announced yet if it will be picked up for a second season. Ratings and demographics are good, but it's an expensive show to produce.

I was. But, I was more concerned that the borg, played by Summer Glau, who was sent to guard John was lying all along. She kept that one computer chip and did not tell anyone and admitted to lying even to John on important issues.
I will, however, admit that I did miss a couple of episodes. I do not see how they cannot have another season. There has to be an explanation.
