Its on Comics .. Well, continuing the plot from season 7, there are hundreds of slayers all over the world (but Buffy is still the most popular & the strongest) .. Some of those slayers are alligned with Buffy, some are by themselves plotting to rule over the world. Xander has a patch in his eye. Dawn became a giant because she dated a 'Thricewise' .. Willow is still powerful, but she has more control over her powers.
Overall BTVS8 is more into technology, and Buffy and the gang are using all the resources they have -- witchcraft, slayers, powerful guns.
The enemies -- well, if you havent read it yet, someone's making a comeback. someone from season 5. =] .. and other more powerful beings.
There is no season 8. Buffy ran for 7 seasons.
