its suppose to be funny. during one episode i believe peter went back in time and during the dance it showed how he in the chicken started disliking each other. i cant really remember to much about that episode.

There are two episodes where he fights the chicken. One is because the chicken gave him an outdated coupon, don't remember what the other fight was about. The real reason...because watcing a fat guy in green pants fighting with a guy in a chicken suit is funny! If you are looking for any greater answers than that you should watch the discovery channel, not family guy. Not trying to be mean, but think about it!
It's just part of the show. That's what Family Guy is about, on going things that have nothing to do with anything. I love it lol. It doesn't mean anything.
