Question: Do those people who laugh at sitcoms in the background are they real audience or did they just make them up?
Where do they get the laughs? How do they do it?
Is it computer generated or what?
Did they pay a bunch of people to laugh or something?
Do they have an applause sign or something?
How bout some sitcoms that got booed? How did that happen?

I laugh at the good ones.
It is all recorded laughs. There is no audience when they are making sitcoms. I believe some are computer generated and some are prerecorded from other tv shows. Same with the boo's
all the sitcoms have the laugh track,unless you are watching the bloopers its the real laugh,although some sitcoms are taped infront of live audience(Friends,Cosby,Fresh prince)..but they dont put the audience laugh for the jokes as they may not gain the reaction they are hoping too
I've been to a few tapings and usually its the crowd laughing they have mics above us and when its funny we laugh, some shows do canned laughter, but the ones with live studio audiences is actual laughter
You're asking an awful lot of questions in one slot.
Some laughter is canned (pre-recorded) some is not.
Tickets to tapings are free, but you have to sit through re-takes, so are you being paid? No, but the performance is free.
They do have applause signs and "cheer-leaders," assistants who stand out in front of the audience and lead them in "spontaneous" clapping.
When the audience boos, they don't show that part of the tape/film during the broadcast; it'd be bad for business.
