Who else thinks that TV serials in india are so stupid?!


Question: seriously, why do people even watch that? its the same old stupid story over and over in all the shows. and its all about the same things, a crazy family with evil manipulative people. i think all it does is make people in india think that way about their own family, and is a total waste of time. who agrees with me?

I totally agree with you. The stories totally deviate from our culture and tradition seriously polluting the minds of viewers. worst part is to picturise the cruelty in women, scheming, with killing instincts and severe cruelty, propogating superstition,witchcraft even in board meetings of corporates et etc all stupid crap. Another worst aspect is dirty dubbing tones of non-locals adding nausea to the already worst characters in the play. A seperate independent sensor board with intellectuals with a direction to balance the modernity with our traditions and culture is the need of the hour.

    • I think people just LOVE sticking their noses into other people's lives in india and so those kinds of "naataks" are there for that very reason. Someone elses life is always much more interesting than your own!!

    I bet if you producer or director or even actor on one of these TV serials and making tons of money, you will not call them stupid.
    They really r stupid n carzy n useless. But I don't understand y so many people watch them religiously everyday? Its very fascinating for me. Esp. ekta kapoor soap! My grandmother used to watch them and it made no sense at alll! Baa in kyunki should be more than 200 years old now, everyone in Kasauti jindagi has been married atleast more than 3 time n yet people watch them. Dead people come alive, u find rebirths and twins suddenly popping up. It ridiculous! But y, oh y do people watch it. No idea. I am just very fascinated n curious!
    Because the outside world is still worst than the serial I am not saying about India the other TV channels program is not in the state of viewing.
    I dnt think all r stupid, but Ekta Kapoor's saas-bahu serials r annoying. I mean they are just plain annoying and basically sme strylyn. Althoough that dosent meann all r stupid. There are many dat r nice. Especially Dill Mill Gaya on star one. Its da best! better dan any american sho. (my opionion)
    i think they relate their lives to the people in the serial........ and there is no harm in saying that i watch 1 too..........just coz my frnds watch it and they keep talking about it ...........
    if u dont like the serials and think they are stupid, why do u watch the, i know that u watch them because otherwise u cannot give any sorts of comment. it is only when u watch u can decide how is the serial if u dont like them stop watching bnut you should not hurt the sentiments of others. for example, i love all such serials on indian tv.
