maybe it was "shear genius" on the style network? where you take one famous big city stylist and have them trade positions with a no named stylist from nowheresville
if not, it was definitly "the cutting edge" on bravo...it was he hair equivalent of project runway or top chef
blowout + tease are definitly not it (tease was on oxygen...and was basically NOT entertaining)

Are you thinking of "Blowout"? It was a reality show with some guy named Jonathan who ran a salon. It was only on one season.
