Question: Napoleon said that all societies were three days away from revolution, because in 1800, most cities had about three days worth of food. After that, chaos. One of the things I like about Jericho was the grace under pressure that the various (heroic) characters, like Jake, and his parents, and some of the others show as society crumbles.
If food stopped arriving at our grocery stores, society would quickly become "survival of the strongest." Look at New Orleans post-Katrina. Chaos. Federal help? Not with George W at the helm! Those with the guns got what they needed...as for the rest.....
