What do you think of David Archuleta?!
Question: Do you think he's the next American Idol? I don't really think he is. He's a good singer, but I think he's a liar. I don't want to be offensive, but I don't believe that he got vocal surgery. He said he got it around the time he was 13 (when he was on Star Search) . I don't know if he really did get surgery or it's a lie. When he sang "Imagine" I think he oversang (somewhat shouted) a few parts (yet the judges said nothing). Blake Lewis sang the same song last year and was criticized, but I think his rendition was much better and more polished. Anyway, I think Carly is going to win. My biggest problem with David A. is that I think he is acting like he is shy and "cant beleive he is on TV". This kid has had many public and television appearences. He acts like he is surprised he can sing. I think its all a big act...and all of u are falling for his "charm". Dont get me wrong I think he can sing but he is full of himself.

you suck! he has nothing wrong with him. I dont care what you think becuse the majority of the United States is in love with the guy, and im surely one of them. I know your're jealous. Lots of people are. He is definately NOT full of himself-you need to actually watch the show. I dont see YOU up there trying to be your best and still look cute! He's going through a lot right now, just dont be so rude about every little thing you dont like, ok?

there is no doubt in my mind. not only is he a great singer but he is VERY marketable. "tweens"(pre-teens) would buy ALL his merchandise and go to all his shows, people will obsess over him. (like they do over miley Cyrus, the Jonas bro's etc)

Poor David...don't you think the judges have their favorites? Right now, it is too early to call who is going to win the whole contest is about ratings. I think Ryan is becoming a bit short with the contestants and he and Simon portray themselves as being at odds..I guarantee they all go for drinks at one time or another. Which is a bigger scam? Ryan and Simon or David looking a little weird at the camera? The kid from Missouri and the English accent lad are definitely in the mix!

First of all you suck!!! Second of all he didn't get surgey becuase the doctors said it would be to risky ( he said it on his auditon and you can watch it on youtube. And no Blake Lewis didn't sing it all that good last season, David sang it waaaaaaay better, I mean I love Blake but he didn't sing it that well. And 3rd he doesn't act like he's suprised when they judges tell him he's great, he just smiles. And he is NOT full of himself, don't be jelous cause you have no talent and he does. And lastly he's just shy, BIG DEAL! I know lots of celebrites who admit to being shy. They just have been in Hollywood long enough to learn how to fight it. YOUR A BIG JERK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think he probably has the greatese chance of winning. Personally I like him.
Its hard to 'act' shy if you're really not-your personality will always come through, so I don't think he's acting. He didnt get surgery. He thought about it, but didn't. Hes going to win because America controls the show and America loves him. Hes got an amazing voice.
I feel the same way. I think its somewhat of an act, and this might sound weird but I think that he's almost too good. And he kinda gets annoying.
