He did turn out to be Phillips son, but he let the foster parents keep him. After he saw the way the took such good care of Pocket, Phillip thought he would have a much better life with them.
Steve and Kayla were Pockets foster parents until he began to get sick. The doctors found out someone was poisoning him and gave him to another set of foster parents.

Missvolf only has it half right. Pocket is Philip's but Mimi was his biological mother. Since Mimi couldn't carry a child to term her egg was implanted in a surragant. The suragant named him Tyler and kept him for a few months then was later killed. Steve & Kayla named him Pocket then he was later placed in another foster home and when Philip found out about him he decided to let the other family keep him.
That whole story was crazy. They had Philip running all around the world looking for Claire, who he already knew was NOT his biological, but he supposedly loved her so much, he had to find her.
Then, when he finds out about Tyler, he just lets him go!! Does that make sense???? If he wanted a child so much he would travel around the world for her, why would he not take Tyler when he had the chance?? He has the financial resources to take very good care of the child.
My thought is that he was just after Belle, not a baby, or he would have kept Tyler. I think it is very sad!!!!
He is Phillip & Mimi's son. I thought it was stupid that when Phillip did find him it was like I found him; OK that is all I needed to know that he was alive. It was a nice thing for the foster couple but not like Phillip and Victor to let family go so easily.
you all are right it is not like victor and phillip to let family go so easily. dont think victor has any real clue that philliip not only found his son but let him be adopted! i do belive that victor was gone on his search for brady when all of that went down with the baby.
