A minute. I don't like his attitude. But he has a keen eye for talent. Almost every opinion I have had has mirrored Simon's. I'm a professional musician and like to say I have good judgement. Simon has amazing judgement. Everyone knows it. But its his attitude that keeps him the most important judge to impress.
Well, since Simon is the show's creator, and his buddy Nigel is the executive producer, and Simon owns the record label that the idols get singed to- pretty sure the show would end immediately if he left.

I feel Idol is on its last legs anyway (how many more seasons can they run it??) I love the show but after 7 years I am getting tired of the same old stuff. I love Simon, and agree with alot of his comments. The show just wouldnt be the same without him.
He is a producer of the show. If he left the show then I'm sure that would be the end of Idol. They may try a season without him just to see how it works but it would tank fast.

Yes, if Simon Fuller were to leave Idol... it would be cancelled right away unless someone were to take his place... Since Simon FULLER is the creator and director of the show...
If Simon Cowell left the show I think that they would finish out this season.... and maybe try to replace him with another JUDGE (Maybe Nigel Lythgoe - SYTYCD and Exec producer for Idol) and see how it would go from there. He's kind of brutally honest too.
But American Idol wouldn't be the same with out Simon COWELL! Gotta love him!

It would last a season and that would be it. The ratings would suck and it would lose all credability. Simon,when you think about it,is the epitamy of the "mean Brit who tells it like it is." If you notice,other reality shows have adopted that concept whether it be Piers from Amaricas got talent, Dancing with the Stars, or the guy from Skating with the Stars (or what ever that show was called.
Who would you replace Simon with, another "mean Brit"???? He would come off as a Simon clone and the show does not need another Paula.
I don't think that anyone could ever replace Simon. He's the one who makes the show, the show that it is. It would be canceled no too long after he left. If it wasn't for him, we'd have such horrible singers in Hollywood. He keeps it real and he will tell you the truth. He doesn't care about feelings because that's not what he's there for, he's there to find the Next American Idol.
Let's say he left and they lost 1/3 of their audience. That would mean the would be down to about 20 million viewers which would probably still leave them as the number one show on TV.
Simon Fuller is the creator and producer of the show by the way. Not Simon Cowell.
Without Simon, I wouldn't bother to watch..
